ThinkBook “CodeFlip ” AI PC Proof of Concept
Lenovo is always trying new ways to showcase how far you can push new tech advances. Sometimes, those translate directly into future features, and sometimes, they get refined along the way, but no matter what, they’re always exciting. Foldable screens have really opened up Lenovo’s creative side, and the “CodeFlip” AI PC is definitely one of the most interesting concepts!
This ThinkBook proof of concept has a flippable screen that folds outward, which gives all sorts of new possibilities. You can present to someone facing you and mirror the screens, or you can flip it fully open so you have a jaw-dropping 18.1” screen that lets you split your screen like dual monitors. Lenovo says they envision at least five possible ways to use the CodeFlip: Clamshell Mode, Vertical Mode, Share Mode, Tablet Mode, and Read Mode.
The CodeFlip has a dual hinge which allows you to configure how you interact with the screen in a number of ways. They’re also showcasing a Smart ForcePad with numeric keys and media controls as well as an Intel Ultra Core 7, plus a fingerprint reader for extra security. But the real story here is the many ways you can flip and adjust that screen to make your workflow fly!
Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Proof of Concept Accessories
Disappointingly, the ThinkBook 16p is not available in North America. It’s a workhorse of a laptop, sporting a 3.2K screen and Intel Core Ultra processors, Harman/Kardon speakers, Dolby Atmos, and all the other powerful features you’d expect from Lenovo!
But the real story is the way Lenovo envisions adding modular options, and they’re using the 16p to showcase them. The Magic Bay Dual Display Proof of Concept is a set of add-on 13.1” screens that turns your laptop into a triple screened beast anywhere.
And if you just need a little extra info, the Magic Bay 2nd Display Concept is an 8” screen designed to work as an AI dashboard and provide access to messages, settings, and other productivity tools. It’s ike a motorcycle sidecar, but for your laptop.
Maybe you think all this is great but you don’t have enough of a parasocial relationship with your laptop. The Magic Bay “codename Tiko” Concept displays real-time emoji status and can respond to gestures and provide personalized emoji responses throughout the day. [Sidenote, there an episode of Doctor Who with murderous emoji robots! Hopefully Lenovo’s are more inclined to help than hurt…]
If you rely on AI as part of your workflow, then the Magic Bay “codename Tiko Pro” Concept might be a good fit, where it can function as an always-on assistant ready to help run your day more smoothly with information about your schedule, notes, and transcriptions; it can even act as a teleprompter!
Lenovo ThinkBook 3D Laptop and AI Ring Proof of Concepts
Lenovo still believes 3D is the future, and they see a world where the ThinkPad 3D Laptop sports a 2D/3D screen that can provide 3-dimensional imagery without 3D glasses! It utilizes what Lenovo calls the “Directional Backlight 3D solution” to create the 3D imagery. The idea is that this will allow graphic designers and other creative types to work their designs in 3D and create on a whole new level graphically. Again, this is just a proof of concept, but a very exciting idea!
Along the same lines of finding new ways to interact, there’s also the Lenovo AI Ring Proof of Concept. This would allow for gesture controls, so you could theoretically interact with your computer without touching it. The concept sports multiple sensors and AI motion tracking, so users could rotate images, zoom in, and even interact within 3D environments easily.

The Lenovo AI Ring obviously pairs with the concept ThinkBook 3D, but would also make for a fascinating experience within virtual reality!
Lenovo Hybrid Dimensional 34” Curved Monitor – Unique 2D/3D Monitor Proof of Concept
Lenovo isn’t going to let the ThinkBook line have all the fun in 3D, so they’re also looking at a 2D/3D monitor. Not only is the concept a curved monitor offering a 21:9 ultrawide viewing experience, it will be able to handle both 2D and 3D imagery simultaneously.
This way, someone can assess a 3D graphic creation while also checking specifications, all on one screen. Plus, the ultrawide 3D experience will bring gaming and movies to a whole new level!
Lenovo continues to push boundaries, not just refining what already works but reimagining how we interact with technology. From powerful new ThinkPads and ThinkBooks designed for modern workflows to futuristic proof-of-concept devices that challenge the status quo, Lenovo’s latest innovations balance performance, flexibility, and sustainability.
Whether you’re eyeing the convertible versatility of the ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1, the eco-conscious portability of the X13 Gen 6, or the mind-bending possibilities of the CodeFlip AI PC, there’s something here for every kind of user. And while some of these concepts may not hit the market immediately, they offer a compelling glimpse into the next wave of computing.
If one thing is certain, it’s that Lenovo isn’t content with incremental upgrades—they’re shaping the future, one bold innovation at a time.
With these upcoming releases and forward-thinking proof of concepts, Lenovo is shaping the way we’ll work, play, and innovate in the years ahead.
