We recently reviewed the Lectric XPress 750, a commuter eBike that impressed us with its performance and value. But for those of us who need something better suited for rough trails and outdoor adventures—especially during hunting season—the Lectric XPeak High-Step 2.0 hits all the right notes. This upgraded off-road eBike comes trail-ready right out of the box with a host of thoughtful features.
If you’re an off-road rider like me, the XPeak 2.0 is exactly what you want—an upgraded version of Lectric’s already capable trail-ready eBike. The upgraded 750-watt Stealth M24 motor is built to handle any terrain. It’s whisper-quiet and responsive, getting you where you want to go with ease.
The motor setup offers excellent control and smooth power delivery, coupled with an 8-speed Shimano drivetrain and a torque sensor. Whether you’re climbing hills or cruising through uneven trails, the responsiveness feels intuitive and natural.
The eBike arrives in a well-packed box and is easy to assemble. Thanks to its high-quality fit and finish, the bike comes together easily. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow.
When the XPeak High-Step 2.0 eBike arrived, I was recovering from surgery, so my teenage son assembled it for me. He had it roadworthy in about 30 minutes without any major issues.
Once I was cleared to ride again, the XPeak 2.0 didn’t disappoint—it delivered a smooth, confidence-inspiring experience from the moment I hit the trail.
One of the first things you’ll notice about the XPeak 2.0 is its heft. This bike is a beast; it weighs 64.5 pounds without the battery. It can carry a maximum of 330 pounds, with 60 pounds of payload available on the rear rack. I can easily load up my hunting gear and even a bag of corn and ride into the woods with no worries.
This is the first eBike in its class to include a premium RST Renegade Front Fork that allows for 80mm of suspension travel. The suspension is a game-changer, making for a smooth ride on even the roughest terrain. The PWR+ torque sensor adjusts the motor output based on how hard you pedal, delivering a more natural and efficient ride. It is like the bike is reading my mind on how fast I want it to go while maximizing my effort.
The Stealth M24 technology couples 1310W of peak power, delivering a 400% quieter motor. The 48V battery has a 15Ah capacity, meaning long rides without the worry of getting a recharge.
The XPeak High-Step 2.0 eBike’s LCD color display offers riders easy-to-read information, including speed and distance. The screen is turned on with the controls on the left handlebar grip right above the thumb throttle trigger. The plus and minus buttons add or subtract power. A handy gear shift is located on the right side of the handlebar.
One of my favorite features of the XPeak High-Step 2.0 eBike is the fat, knobby tires. They can handle any terrain easily and should not have problems with going flat since they come with Slime installed. Once you get up to speed, this bike actually feels like you are riding a motorcycle smoothly over rough terrain. I love to ride it.
The Lectric XPeak High-Step 2.0 eBike was designed to be taken off-road over rough terrain. Not only is it rugged and powerful, but it also has a clean, functional design. Integrated lights and the bright color LCD screen round out the ride-ready package. A headlight and taillight are included, and the onboard colored LCD screen gives all critical information about the ride. Every detail was considered, from the upgraded brakes to the 60-pound capacity rear rack.
